Ben Walker and Chris Knowles are both professional multi-instrumentalists, who have collaborated musically for several years on live performances and in the recording studio. They have performed together at many arts centres, folk festivals and concerts. Uilleann pipes, flutes and whistles are among Ben's main instruments, and he excels on all of them. Chris specialises in Celtic harp and Irish bouzouki as his main instruments, playing both rhythmic accompaniment and intricate melody or countermelody along with Ben's pipes, flute or whistle.

'The Coming of Spring' is a collection of Ben & Chris's atmospheric arrangements of mainly traditional Irish music, consisting of lively jigs and exciting reels, but also including some beautiful evocative slow airs, and two 17thC. harp pieces. This is their first album of traditional Celtic music for 11 years- the previous one in 2005 was 'The Holly Bush', also available on CDBaby.
