I had an idea to blend some energetic, contemporary sounds with the psalm readings, to make it speak a little more to the teens and to the youth, who were leading and attending our worship services. In doing so, I also had the opportunity to educate these future leaders as to the reverence and respect for God's Word, while helping His Word reach us in our modern times. It's working! So, here are 14 of these compositions, some energetic, some reflective, all of them the embodiment of God's message through the ages to us, His people. I have received nice feedback from 3 year olds and 93 year olds, and many more in between. I hope these songs continue to bring God's Word to the hearts of many! Thank you to my family and friends, many of whom are musical, and especially my lovely bride Donna who gives me smiles, love, and support. This album is dedicated to seeing the glory of God unfold in everyday normal things. Enjoy! -- Bill Monaghan Fan Testimony I went on youtube and listened to some of your music; it is so up lifting. I can't wait to do the psalm for this week, “I Will Sing Sing Sing.” -- Becky I need to share this the most cutest thing. My granddaughter, Bella is her name, was getting into trouble because she was into everything yesterday, while I let my daughter handle it, I went to practice the psalm for this week (Lord is My Light). Well she ended up coming to me for comfort. So I put her on my lap and said "Let’s sing this song." So I had her pointing to the words as if she was reading, she loved it. We did it about 3 times then she got bored. Well, she went to color and my daughter went to check to see what she was doing. My daughter found her singing the psalm and coloring. So you have touched a 3 year old. She sounded so cute!! She sang it for awhile. The Lord is my Light! -- Becky FOLLOW UP: My granddaughter was singing "The lord is my light" and my daughter started singing it with her and my granddaughter told her "she could not sing it for it was mine and [grand]mama's song." -- Becky Your psalms are just GREAT!!! Keep writing so I can keep singing them!! -- Becky Oh yeah! I am getting the congregation to sing - they love your pslams. What I do is 10 minutes before mass starts I go over the psalm to get them ready and I usually start it of with "Good Morning are we ready to sing today" I hear yeah on one side of the church then I'll say I didn't hear you then you hear a big YES. Well with psalm 138 you have sing sing sing sing, so when I introduced the psalm, I told them this psalm will have you sing, for it has 4 sings in a row. They loved it. I was always in search for different psalms, but yours have been the BEST!!!!!!! -- Becky *********************** From NEW ZEALAND on Let Us Go Rejoicing Well, I showed “Let Us Go Rejoicing!” to our Choir Master ( I am one to the cantors in our church choir and sing with Prayer & Praise band) he played it on the piano while I sang the Psalm and he LOVED it!! He said it was beautiful! That's what my band's comments are as well. I also had music major students (baritone & soprano) from university who joined our band at the Mass. The congregation joined the singing and they loved it too. The over all verdict is, WE ALL ENJOYED YOUR SONG AND LOVE IT TO BITS!!!! -- Vangie ************************ Songs are all beautiful, my favorites "Who is the King of Glory" & "Be With Me Lord". I kept a journal for years, while I was married, after I was divorced and before and after Shawn died. I so often would start my journal with the words “be with me lord,” so that song truly touched my soul. -- Margaret ******************** I was searching YOU TUBE and I found your great Psalm 71 “I Will Sing Sing Sing!” for this weekend. -- Todd FOLLOW UP The psalm was GREAT! It was well received by all...even the pastor commented. "Where did the psalm come from today" - so that is a first - he never asks me where my psalms comes from... I told him I found you on the internet (you tube). So, congrats to you - as I think the congregations' response is "easy to follow" and "fun to sing" - which is all I really want. I was really really happy - so was the accompanist - for the first time - she did not have to guess what the piano accompaniment was...you had it there for her. -- Todd
