Originally launched as a Kickstarter campaign, Sufferer is a musical project formed by Shane Gann (Hail The Sun), Cory Lockwood (A Lot Like Birds), Blake Dahlinger (I The Mighty), and Forrest Wright. Given the subject matter, the music features a more straight-ahead, heavy approach than any of the members' respective main projects. The three vocalists all have unique voices and styles, and the whole lyrical flow reads as a stream-of-consciousness narrative with all the dramatic dips and twists that you'd expect if you've ever struggled with anxiety/depression yourself. The album was recorded/mixed over a two and a half year period with the utmost care and attention to detail, as we recognize the importance of portraying these issues in an accurate light.
