简介
I am Nando Rojo, an independent rapper from Ann Arbor, Michigan. I make music with no fear of honesty. Join the ride; you won't want to miss out. I write, record, mix and master all my own songs in my home-made studio. Go For Gold is my first solo rap mixtape. In the months prior to its release, I performed as the opening act for Mayer Hawthorne and Academy-Award-Winning Three 6 Mafia. I'm currently in the process of moving to Philly to attend UPenn and plan to use it as my next step in the music world. "There's nothing to really say but keep at it! You're only 15 but you have a great flow and are talking about great stuff, so keep it up." - Logic. He told me this in an email three years ago upon listening to one of my first songs. I began rapping at age 14 as a member of Type Three with rapper Nollie and producer Pagani, where we published two mixtapes: The Linguistics and Prototype. Since these mixtapes, I've recorded about 17 unreleased solo songs, 10 of which made the cut for Go For Gold. I have collaborated with local artists Isaac Castor and Carly Paull-Baird as well. It all started freshman year of high school when Chase (Pagani) was messing around on his computer making a beat in his basement, and Noah (Nollie) and I decided to record over it using the built-in Macbook microphone. Now I use a Neumann mic. Oh how things change. Since we began rapping, I've been writing and working on songs everyday. Go For Gold was in the works beginning early in my senior year of high school. The fact that my mixtape is completed only means I have a medium to expand my work – more performances, more music videos, and simply, more music, improving each day. No complacency. Be part of the movement. Reach out to me and give me your honest thoughts. I'm one to grab your attention, not abuse it. Go For Gold.
