Little Shashe G aka the Reggae Dove has been writing and singing songs for over twenty years. Fourteen years ago she started collaborating with percussionist and arranger Brother James Trinidad as her producer. The first recording 'Wake Up! Jah Warriors of Love,' was with the London Chapter Band at Laylow Studios on Portobello Road, London, featuring guitarist/engineer Kevin Armstrong and drummer Trevor Murrell (Sade). People of the World was recorded in the New Yorker Hotel, Manhattan at Mad Dog Studios and features Brian Jackson (Gil Scott Heron's long time partner) on keyboards and flute, and Ronny Drayton (Nona Hendrix) on guitar. The current band, known as the Jamaican Chapter comprises Barry Dread Nelson on bass, drummer Carl Benjamin, Cleveland N on keys and Augustus Isidore (Seal) on guitar. Letter in My Mind features Ronny Drayton.

Brother James's reggae arrangements for Shashe's songs are an imaginative musical fusion taking its influences from around the globe. Besame Mucho is complemented by an instrumental version featuring trombonist Joe de Jesus.
