J. Fontaine, is set to release his debut album, J. Fontaine Presents, January 15th featuring his own music production as well as production by Knoxx and collaborations with some of Jersey’s biggest and best known names in hip hop, such as Joe Budden and Serius Jones. A Pennsylvania-born Italian, J. Fontaine knows music goes deeper than superficial standards and has been welcomed into the Hip Hop community by eager ears. J. Fontaine’s enthusiasm for creativity and love for the art of Hip Hop and its music as allowed him to grow as an artist and master multiple elements of hip hop, including musical production and DJ’ing. As a performer and a producer J. Fontaine’s passion runs deep. His stand-out work ethic is solid and his talent is palpable. Along with the success of his break dancing career, J. Fontaine has appeared as an extra on MTV’s hip hop series Direct Effect with DJ Clue, Comedy Central’s Strangers with Candy and experienced international airplay for his single “Pull It Over” and spins on major radio stations for “Hoffa at Me.” J. Fontaine Presents is the culmination of all of his talents and abilities. J. Fontaine himself refers to the album as a “Diddy-Style album”; that is, J. Fontaine Presents features a number of talented artists and musicians offering an eclectic sound and vibe. The first single off the album, “Comeback,” features hip hop titan Joe Budden-- the embodiment of New Jersey street hip hop— and is the cornerstone for the entire album. “For J. Fontaine Presents I followed Diddy’s blueprint and created a hot album where I appear on most songs as the main artist, and the others are carried by the strongest rapper,” says J. Fontaine. “After recording, mixing and mastering about 40 Tracks, I picked the 6 Best Hip Hop songs and my 6 favorite Club Joints, put them together and created a well-rounded album. In my opinion, the best part of the project is the quality that the listener is getting. We put a lot into this album, with all the recording, which totaled about 70 tracks, and we whittled it down to the best. “ As an executive, J. Fontaine has established an imprint, Jersey Mint Records, which houses some of the North East’s brightest up and coming music stars of many genres.
