LA's hottest new artist THA VILL teams up with double MOBO winner Kele le Roc to produce the biggest trans-Atlantic independent single of 2010 As an artist and part of the Kage Production Team, Vill has written for and recorded with George Sampson, The Saturdays, Akon, The Game, TQ, Flo Rida, Lindsay Lohan and Janet Leon, with a nu-tek production style that has seen him tagged "Mr Fiber Optic" by his huge international fanbase. He is an internet phenomenon as a top Myspace artist with over 7 million song plays and consistently averaging 200,000 downloads for each independently released single to date. Despite enduring tough times growing up in north Chicago, this MC/producer focuses on the positive, drawing from a diverse range of musical influences to produce a slick urban sound. His positive approach helped him click immediately with the UK media late in 2009 with his release Happy Hour b/w California Dreams ft The Game. Channel AKA, SBTV, Flava and Kiss supported the Happy Hour video, his magazine features included Urban World, Flavour and Rivmixx, and this introductory release also delivered an extensive level of radio and club support. DJs at stations such as Westside, Bang, BBC Asian Network, Colourful and DeJa Vu reported a phenomenal response to his live interviews with them. With a number of international collaborations in the pipeline, it's no surprise he found a soul-mate in London's Kele le Roc, well known for her own unique brand of urban music. Coming to prominence with her 1999 album "Everybody's Somebody" (Polydor) which produced two MOBO's for her single "My Love", she has pursued a policy of working in various urban genres via artists such as Omar, Estelle, Todd Edwards, Davinche, Shy FX, Roni Size and of course in 2001 with the Basement Jaxx smash "Romeo". Now with her own record and clothing labels, her single "Retro" received a hufe amount of radio support and her current single "That Rhythm" is already being hammered out in the clubs and on the airwaves. These two exceptional artists have joined forces to produce a sensational release for 2010, "More Than Friends". Further mixes come courtesy of US dance producer P-Rida, with a typically slammin funky refix from London's DJ Mappa. Bonus track At It Again rounds off this smash package.
