The upbeat and rhythmic music of the Voice of Maasai transcends language and helps to nurture imaginations, culture, curiosities and positive action. The choir enthusiastically shares their love of their land and living culture in Tanzania with lyrics expressing the breathtaking power of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Manyara. Brief History: The forcible Voice of Maasai choir and Jessey Jansen, owner of Little Lady Studio started this collaboration in 2011 after Jessey volunteered in Tanzania. Following a performance, patient start-up dialogue and a gut-instinct, Jessey returned to the US with the idea to record the choir and publish an album that would help empower the individuals of the choir. Jessey used proceeds of her Social SHINE Jewelry collection to help seed fund the initial recording.
