Over the last 15 years I have written a number of songs in the "talking blues" format, all of which are stories of one kind or another. Here is a compilation of the best of these. And whether the consequences of the choices made are good or bad, there is some humor in each story. Sometimes what seems like a good idea, turns out to have been a bad idea. Stopping off for a few with a buddy can sometimes turn out to have been bad judgment. Some things don't go together well, and are bad combinations. The kids who behave for Mom aren't as well behaved for Dad. Life has it's ups and downs. Often the end of a marriage can be like bluffing in a poker game: sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Sometimes a guy hits on the wrong woman, and suffers for it. Occasionally what looks like a bad choice can look better if you consider what the alternative is. In any case, this CD brings all these stories together for those who like talking blues. Seven of these have been previously recorded on one of my seven previous CD's; three are new compositions, never before recorded.
