More than ten years in the biz and still young of age is Krink, our latest addition to the Upon.You Records family. Known for his unique, versatile production style the Berlin-based producer has built up a back catalogue with releases and remixes on labels like Hold Your Ground, URSL and Form Resonance amongst others over the past decade, has travelled the world as a DJ, awing audiences whenever he's on the decks – or performing live. With the opening title track „It Goes On“ we see Krink providing a deep, spatial and spaced out late night banger both informed by MinimalHouse and DubTechno, later crossing over into dark'ish Techno territories before beautiful, panoramic string arrangements transfer crowds into uplifting, overwhelmingly emotional (Neo)Trance-infused realms. This is a masterpiece in terms of electronic storytelling. Following up is „Organ“, a tune amalgamating more widescreen athmospheres and the traditional craft of raw, unprocessed German MinimalHouse graced by a deep low-end pump, percussive main motif and clean, hyperfuturistic filter abuse for lovers of a style once defined as Intelligent Techno somewhen in the 90s. Furthermore „Dawn“ presents a slightly darker, more muscular studio approach to Krink's work, aiming at heaving, fever'ish Techno floors in hypnotrance with detailed percussion elements and finally providing ultimate relief through a warm, friendly, all embracing combination of organic vintage bass and dreamy, masterly crafted melodic arrangements. Finally „Nano“ brings forth a solid, bass-heavy TechHouse foundation for a start only to introduce the most tender piano pads throughout the first breakdown, building things up harking back to the clean sci-fi filters of „Organ“ whilst intricate, interweaving melodies provide a floating, hovering vehicle for punters souls to drift off into a timeless nirvana of electronic pulses and pure sound.
