Half Story Sessions started out as an attempt to record new songs and re-record some of my old songs in a way that would do them justice. I had been learning the art of recording after refining my songwriting to mixed results for a few years. In 2011 I felt confident and competent enough to tackle them the right way. The end result was a mass of material somewhere in the vicinity of thirty songs. Some were acoustic based, some heavy, some electric based. When I pared down the songs to the one I felt were strongest, it became a matter of which ones fit together. I found I had about 15 songs that I felt were very strong. These five songs were chosen for the EP. The first, and second tracks are newer songs while the last three date back a long time; Making My Way was written over a decade ago. The remaining songs have been mixed and will be released as a full-length 10 song album. This EP was designed to be short, simple and accessible. I hope you enjoy it.
