Ava Pearl

Taking an interest in music at such a young age, Ava Pearl always knew her passion for the arts would lead her to a successful music career. Born and raised in Canoga Park, CA, Ava moved to Phoenix, AZ with her family at the age of 10 where she attended high school and college. Even though Ava always had her heart set on becoming an artist/actress, attending college was never even a question. Ava attended Arizona State University where she majored in English literature. She graduated and received her degree on December 18th, 2009. In addition to obtaining an English degree Ava studied theatre and film at Scottsdale Community College while recording her own music at a local studio simultaneously. Her appreciation for the arts grew tremendously as she perfected her craft in both music and acting.

Ava Pearl’s diversified taste in musical genres has indubitably shaped her to be the artist she is today. Most say Ava cannot necessarily be categorized in any genre of music for she plans to make music beyond any one type of sound. This may partly be due to the fact that she comes from a divergent ethnic background. Coming from a Black, Brazilian, German, Irish, Russian, Native American (Black Feet and Crow), Creole, and Czechoslovakian background makes it tough for Ava to focus on just one genre of music. Every song will guaranteed be far different from the last.

Already making a splash in the music game, Ava has gotten her feet wet with a variety of performances in different cities, including South Hamptons, NY, LA, and Vegas. With musical influences such as Lauryn Hill, Beyonce, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu and other legends, she strives to make each performance more entertaining than the last. It is always interesting to see what she will come up with next!
