The Flight I Flew is Denver-based cellist Ian Cooke's fourth album, and it's a return to the sound and mood of his first album, The Fall I Fell. Featuring cello, violin, viola, contrabass, and layers of percussion, The Flight I Flew takes a more introspective journey than Cooke's previous dinosaur-themed album, Antiquasauria. While much of the new album navigates slower tempos, the lead single Beam of Light is one of the catchiest and upbeat songs in Cooke's catalog.
