Word on the street is, there’s a new powerhouse in rap music. Meet JFWTK (Join Forces With The Kings), a rap duo made up of rising stars Awgust Rush and YBK (Yellow Bone Killer). Only the cool kids know that JFWTK has dropped a smash single called “F-ish Up” that is setting speakers on fire. Images of drop tops, flowing champagne and looking fresher than a big baller saunter into the mind when listening to this club banger, impressively one can still hear the sound hip hop roots on this track’s production. These two undercover brothers ride on this beat like the pros they are, it is only a matter of time til they are headlining concerts both within and outside of South Africa’s borders. This is the first product of these two rappers partnering up and forming JFWTK, but many will know both rappers individually. Their individual portfolios include performing at all the major hip hop clubs in Durban, sharing the stage with international rap heavyweights YMCMB artists Lil Wayne and Jay Sean for Lil Wayne’s I Am Music Tour (Durban Leg). Add to that producing + performing the soundtrack to a FOX TV production. They have also collaborated with several big names in South African rap. In a first, both these rappers were featured at the Mr. Price Pro World Ranking Surfing Competition 2013, held in Salt Rock, Ballito, as the first ever Hip Hop act to ever perform at the event. The video for this banger is out now in Africa and abroad on Channel O, MTV BASE, and Trace TV as well as Youtube. Those that have seen it say it will surely be on rotation a while for the music stations and quite possibly be a SAMA nominee for next year.
