The Dufflefolks are an electronic band from Hertfordshire, England. A four piece since 2008, The Dufflefolks have crafted their signature sound by augmenting electronic beats and effects-laden synthesisers, with live drums, guitars, autoharp, and the linchpin vocals of Daniel Davies. Their latest EP, “Keep Safe Your Keepsakes”, produced by Howard Carter, sees the band drawing from a range of influences, including Talking Heads, Arthur Russell, Mount Eerie, and Bon Iver. The EP varies from the agitated iridescence of “Two Hands Clapping” and “Well Read Fools”, to the ominously opaque “Hunting” and “Hands in the Dirt”. “Jonathan”, a union of sparse guitar and Tenori-on beats, closes the EP in a swell of lush three part harmonies.
