The Groundwork- The Groundwork is a Gospel Rap group made up of Wax Poetik, R-Kaid, Don P, and Killawatt. Bringing a world of different flavors of music together, it’s hard to put The Groundwork in a box. With original beats and a mix between live instruments, The Groundwork hopes to change the way the world looks at Gospel Rap for good. Transitioning from upbeat to smooth lyrical tracks in seconds, The Groundwork will move you no matter what your taste for music is. The Groundwork is not just a band but also a quickly expanding youth program. The Groundwork was birthed with the idea to get youth excited about following Christ. We believe that we serve an exciting God. Therefore our lives as Christians shouldn't be boring, instead they should be full and exciting just like Him. We take each opportunity given to us to spike the interest of youth with the things that they love, only with a positive twist. We teach the youth the importance of positive body image, community service, and education. Our goal is to encourage each person we come in contact with to be firmly grounded in Christ. We believe that if we can make a difference in their lives now, we are laying the “groundwork” for better leaders of the future.
