This collection of songs, six years in the making, was crafted in a boutique studio and community music school in New York's Hudson Valley. Heavily influenced by a variety of genres, most notably Americana and Indie Pop, the goal of Bluebird Sky was to build songs that were relevant, relatable and soothing to the soul. Barbera is a multifaceted artist, drawing inspiration as a lyricist from the use of relational storytelling and metaphor. As a songwriter, Barbera overlays these dense lyrics with straightforward melodies and carefully constructed instrumentation. Bluebird Sky is a follow-up to 2010's well-received Zigzag to the Sea which secured several placements in corporate ad campaigns including Naturalizer Shoes and San Miguel Beverage Co., a campaign that went viral on YouTube with over 1.8 million views.
