"His Love", Martin's debut album, is a collection of songs written over the span of 17 years and includes some of his earliest work. You'll be inspired by the depth with which he writes and the emotional emphasis given each song. Martin Young is a singer/songwriter from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He has been writing Christian music and using his voice to praise God for most of his life. Because his dad was a piano tuner and technician, there was always at least one piano in the home, and he played them frequently. Early lessons did not go well. He preferred to play by ear and improvise, rather than play assigned music. That desire to create something new led him to begin expressing himself through music, and he soon realized that he had a talent for song writing. The death of Martin's mother when he was 18, and her courage and faith while living, had a profound effect on him. Music provided a much-needed emotional outlet during that difficult time. Since his first songs as a teenager, writing music has provided Martin a way of communicating his feelings about life, family, love and especially, God. Martin has performed in churches and auditoriums around the country, often accompanying himself on the piano. His rich tenor voice lends itself perfectly to his musical style. Drawing inspiration from life's experiences, both happy and sad, Martin's music conveys emotion in an open and personal way. Many of his songs are based on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, reflecting his belief in a living and personal Savior.
