Clydo Scroto Completing their slow reemergence from the abyss, enigmatic Louisville legends THE WEB will be releasing their (very, very) long awaited third album, Clydotorous Scrotohendron this summer on Noise Pollution. The seven song album will be released on LP with letter pressed covers by Dexterity Press. Clydotorous Scrotohendron will also include a free digital download of the album with purchase of the LP. This will be The Web's first release in twelve years and features the core lineup of Andrew Willis, Jason Hayden, Steve Good, Tony Hoyle and Gary Pahler. The release of this album marks The Web's return to active status after more than a decade in hibernation. As huge fans of The Web for many years, Noise Pollution is thrilled and honored to have them on the label. Azuza! History The Web formed as a trio in 1993 and would later expand to an octet, but the core of the band was, and continues to be, based around the quintet of Andrew Willis on guitar; Gary Pahler on drums; Jason Hayden on guitar and bass; Steve Good on keyboards, clarinet, bass clarinet and saxophone; and Tony Hoyle on microphone. During their 1990’s run, The Web released two 7” EPs, an LP, and a full length CD along with multiple compilation appearances. The band also toured the Eastern United States with Sebadoh. Relocation of band members in the late 1990’s put The Web on hold for ten years until the band’s unexpected return in 2008 to open for the legendary Pere Ubu in Louisville. The Web reared its head again in November 2009 to open for Shellac and Shannon Wright as part of a benefit concert for a local musician and artist. The Web is now an active unit again and will be supporting the release of their new album, Clydotorous Scrotohendron, with selected shows this summer and fall. “one of Louisville’s best-ever bands…. somehow a mixture of a great love for Captain Beefheart, the Stooges, the Fall, Neu!, Faust, G. Gordon Liddy, comic books, college basketball, science fiction, and well-brand liquor.” - Joel Hunt, State of the Commonwealth “Their sound, flavored with clarinet and saxophone, is kind of like a demented version of carnival music . . . The Web makes Tom Waits sound like The Carpenters.” - Paul Curry, The Courier-Journal
