A Year in the making, REENO'S "Movie Music Vol. 1" is an album of instrumentals heavily influenced by TANGERINE DREAM, VANGELIS, JEAN MICHEL JARRE, KRAFTWERK, and many other electronic artists. "Movie Music Vol. 1" draws its inspiration from electronic film music in general, particularly Tangerine Dream's work on film soundtracks such as "Miracle Mile", "Risky Business", & "The Keep" (among others). It also draws on Vangelis' musical contributions to films such as "Blade Runner", and Jean Michel Jarre's work on such albums as "Equinox" & "Rendezvous". Reeno has always loved this type of electronic music, and has managed to adapt his own classic sound to it. All the musical pieces on this album are under 5 minutes in length, and contain lovely analog synth filter sweeps, pads, leads, crystalline digital soundscapes, fat classic analog drums from vintage drum machines, and much more to please any synth music fan. Ultimately, Spazzoid Records hopes this album will appeal to its intended target audience: film makers seeking atmospheric/ambient instrumental electronic pieces for their visual creations.
