Kitty King's warm voice and imaginative songs frame a collection of moments and moods that will come alive as you listen. "My Dancing House" takes you on a musical journey through bossa, blues, swing, and more, featuring original arrangements and a company of talented musicians. Some compositions have a familiar feel, like wearing an old coat, and some have a fresh and unique perspective, but all of the songs celebrate the imagination of the heart and mind. The title track was written in response to a photograph of a painting, using the feelings to create lyrics and music. When "My Dancing House" was chosen as the title track, Kitty approached professional artist Ben Mann to create the artwork for a CD cover that would show dancing legs supporting a rickety old house, representing the musicians and technicians who helped make the CD possible. The arts connection went full circle: from a painting, to lyrics and music, and then to another painting. A wonderful journey!
