Before Bernhard Drax became the award winning trans-media maker that he is today, he spent the early 90ties studying music at the Munich Richard-Strauss Conservatory by day and recording weird noisy avantgarde by night. Drax gigged with the bands "Eufusio" and "No Distance", both eclectic outfits vacillating between 20th century classical, avant jazz and electronica. The "New Improvisers Ensemble" around Ignaz Schick became especially infamous via their often unannounced public appearances throughout the Munich area. This recording is a gem of spontaneous music combining hints of Morton Feldman, Elliot Sharp as well as Anthony Braxton. Recorded 01/19 and 02/09 1993 at Sand35 Studios, engineered by yours truly.
