SouLyricist (given name Wes Wesson) is a music producer, and performing artist located in Portland, OR. With over 20 years of experience as a musician, being a guitarist, bassist, drummer, keyboardist, and percussionist only helped him evolve into his purpose. On top of playing instruments, SouLyricist is also an experienced vocalist. He studied voice at the University of Central Florida and joined his first choir when he was 3 years old. By age 6, SouLyricist had discovered Hip-Hop and was beatboxing by way of The Fat Boys and Biz Markie. His life was forever changed, and years later while in middle school, he began developing his songwriting and freestyle abilities. He has been working on his craft ever since.

SouLyricist currently lives in Portland, Oregon; however, previously he played a monumental role in the live music scene and Hip-Hop community in his hometown of Tallahassee, FL. Today, SouLyricist is working as a music producer, performing artist, Hip-Hop Educator and Guitar Teacher in Portland schools. His instrumental debut album, Ver Batim: Vol. 1, is set for release on August 5, 2016.
