In an over saturated Hip-Hop market only few stand out from the crowd, Tony K is one of the latest to emerge out of the Detroit music scene with a unique sound and unparalleled determination. Coming from a musical background not only is Tony a Hip-Hop artist but also a producer and song writer. Born in Iraq, he immigrated to Detroit, MI in 1991 barely escaping the horrors of what was then the Gulf War. He was introduced to Hip-Hop music at a young age listening to Biggie, Nas, NWA, Jay - Z, DMX, Eminem and his favorite rapper and greatest influence Tupac Shakur, by 13 years old Tony was already writing and recording his own songs. By Fall of 2005 Tony released his first album with fellow rapper and friend Peleboy titled Partners In Crime, the album had great success locally and helped open the door for Tony to perform alongside rapper Trick Trick, singers Kevin Lyttle, Karl Wolf, and Massari doing shows in Detroit, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Canada. In 2008 Tony began releasing solo records, he released the album "By Any Means Necessary" which included features from Sean Kingston and rapper Young Noble. Tony quickly started to build a buzz on the internet and was invited on the Tyra Banks show for remixing the shows theme song on her REDO's episode. On the production side Tony has worked with Kurupt, Royce Da 5'9", Swifty Mc Vay, Kobe, The Outlawz, Willie Da Kid, Scoe, and Big Herk on various projects. True Hip-Hop magazine called him "the next best thing in Hip-Hop" while NWA founder Jerry Heller and UGW Radio said they were "blown away… Tony could be something special and do something… on another note". Tony is currently preparing to release his latest Mixtape YNOT, and continues performing and working with major and local artists producing and song writing. Tony has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in all aspects of music and he will not let anyone or anything stand in the way of his American Dream.
