In the late 1960's, after a local gig with my first R&B band(The Soul Aces) we headed to Cayce/West Columbia, South carolina on Saturday nights for the best tasting hamburgers on earth, a place called WHAT-A-BURGER - Motown, cheesburgers & milkshakes were a perfect match! And on Friday nights after performing the TEEN CLUB at Fort Jackson, we invaded the doors of MICKEY FINN'S next to Doug Broomes on Two Notch Road to play between sets of jazz band leader Tom Parker. Our music included MY GIRL, MIDNIGHT HOUR, STAND BY ME, SLEEPWALK, and UNDER THE BOARDWALK. We rocked the house! Year's later - I'm still playing those same songs as well as a variety of other styles - and people still love it! After all, great music never dies! Keep it simple! - Jordan Lee
