MEETA GAJJAR PARKER Beginning her career at age 16 when she recorded the rock single, “Wild About You,” for Alpha International Records Meeta became the “First Female Rock Singer From India.” A year later she was back in the studio with producer Lance Quinn recording “Come Back For More,” at the Power Station in New York. So captured by her voice and style was Virgin Records artist Dexter Wansel, that he featured her as lead vocalist twice on his “Captured” album on Virgin International Records released in Europe. The two cuts, “Turn Me On” and “Do What You Wanna,” earned her international recognition. This CD was also re-released in 2012 worldwide. Meeta appeared as a guest vocalist performing “Forbidden Fruit” on Dancin’ On Air (Channel 17-Philadelphia). The song also aired on Dick Clark’s Rate-A-Record section of American Bandstand. More recently Meeta sang the theme song for Orbicats a children’s TV show. She also wrote a children’s book called “Cookie The Clown” which was published by Publish America (currently America Star Books) and can be purchased online around the world. Meeta had the honor of singing the “Star Spangled Banner,” for the Philadelphia 76er’s several times. She has recorded many solo albums, a Jazz/Easy Listening, self-titled CD “What Would I Do,” “Shanti Dhun,” Indian Chants recorded in India, “Life” by Exotica a Rock CD, which she wrote the lyrics and vocal melodies for in its entirety. She has also released an Americana EP called “The Watch,” by Riverhorse and Meeta, as well as sang lead vocals on “Cataland’s” 2015 Symphonic, Progressive Rock CD. She recorded 3 dance CD’s with the band Final Approach including the 2016 release entitled “One Track Minds”. Most recently, by a chance meeting with Chris Hope, the current Cinematic, Inspirational EP “Timeless” was written & recorded by the two of them. Chris mixed & mastered the EP. Chris Hope is a Music Composer/Producer, Guitarist and Pianist who was born and raised in Bear, DE. With 6 years of experience and counting, Chris has written multiple scores for independent films, and is currently composing music for several television networks and local artists. He played all the instrumentation on "Timeless" and created the artwork for the EP. Meeta is currently performing as a sequenced solo act around her local area.
