Orquesta Aliamen专辑介绍：by Curtis ZimmermannWith the astronomical success of the Buena Vista Social Club record companies began scrambling to put out releases of Afro-Cuban jazz. This compilation of Orquesta Aliamen songs recorded under the direction Tomaz Munoz in the late '60s was one such release. It is a solid collection of soneros and Cuban jazz tunes highlighted by two 8-minute-plus tracks: "Angela, Dame Tu Amor" and "Quiere Mi Son Hablar." In actuality there are some merits to this album, because, unlike the Buena Vista Social Club which featured artists in the later years, this album contains all original recordings. While Cuban jazz catalogs will be exploited, at least fans will benefit from getting a chance to hear music that would have otherwise never been available.
