Jones and his brother Lu formed the rap group Get Money Boyz in 2009 in Houston, Texas. As a group they performed songs at local clubs in Houston. Shortly after, the group split LaidBack Jones started working on 3 albums. LBLI, LBLII and Kuma Sutra. The momentum was continued with his single "Kobe'" featuring Chris Reze. The single was released and available on iTunes May 2016. LaidBack is at the peak of his music career and has produced hundreds of instrumentals available, one of which featured on the new hit single "Kobe"
