An inspiring pianist, songwriter, recording artist with the voice of an angel! Angelia recently released her fourth CD entitled, “Closer”, her second original album. Her first original album, “The Truth Is” was released in 2000, followed in 2004 by the release of “Mixed Blessings” and “To God Be The Glory”. She is especially excited about the crossover songs that are on “Closer”. Her desire is to reach beyond the Christian listening audience and to touch the hearts of all who really enjoy music. In 1996 Angelia began performing nightly as Donald Trump’s house pianist/vocalist at his private club, The Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. She has sung for Superstars like Tony Bennett, Whitney Houston, Rod Stewart, Regis Philbin, Robert Goulet and many others. It was certainly a highlight in her musical career and she is very grateful for the opportunity. In 2007 and 2008 she formed a jazz trio and enjoyed many more nights at the prestigious club. Angelia is a part-time resident of Tennessee and Florida since 2005. She has been taking advantage of many musical opportunities that Nashville has to offer. She is a new NSAI member and is learning more about her songwriting craft there as well as meeting some wonderful Pro Writers and Music Industry professionals. She loves performing at the intimate Historic Palace Theater in Crossville, Tennessee and ministering in song at local Churches and Missions. Angelia has also served as Praise and Worship Leader, private piano instructor and vocal coach for many years and has been a soloist for many weddings and receptions. She has served in churches since the young age of 11 as pianist, vocalist, organist and choir director. Over the last thirty two years, Angelia has performed in a wide variety of Concert Halls, Hotels, Country Clubs, Private Clubs and Fine-Dining Restaurants throughout Georgia, Florida, Texas, Ohio, and Tennessee. She has also performed at many Funerals, Banquets, Piano Bars, Picnics, and Private Dinner Parties. Other venues include Women’s Luncheons, Pastor’s Prayer Meetings, Outreaches and Leadership Retreats. Angelia has met and entertained many celebrities. She met Paul Newman at age 17, while performing weekends at Rudolph’s on Green Street in Gainesville, Georgia. In the 1980’s she met Kathy Lee Gifford, Danny Thomas and Johnny Cash as she opened and performed nightly for 6 years at what used to be the Stouffer Waverly Hotel, Garden Court Lounge in Marietta, Georgia. During college most of her professional work was done in the Atlanta area. Angelia received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education and a minor in voice from Brenau College, Gainesville, Georgia at age twenty. She began classical piano lessons at the age of five and is a native of Georgia. Angelia loves to sing and play piano and write her own songs! She touches hearts with her music everywhere she goes, whether it is in Churches, Ministry Meetings or Community Outreaches. Her greatest desire is just to be used to share God’s love to all through her music. Angelia has a wide variety of musical experience. Some of her expertise has included many wedding ceremonies as pianist, organist and vocal soloist. Angelia has enjoyed ministering at Community Outreaches, Picnics, Fundraiser and Benefit Concerts. She is a wonderful accompanist for soloist, choirs, chamber groups…She has helped to begin New Praise and Worship Teams, and loves to Praise and Worship God more than anything in the world! Women’s conferences, luncheons and retreats have been a great venue for Angelia to minister in song. If you listen to my original music and lyrics, you will know ALL about me. I want to live an abundant and overcoming life. I want to please my heavenly Father! I am committed to the call of music. I want to be a candle that shines brightly pointing others to Christ, my Savior, my best friend I try to write beautiful music and lyrics TO PEOPLE, in hopes to bring inner healing and to encourage and demonstrate true compassion and love for all people. I write some songs TO GOD, to express my love and thanksgiving for Him. The message I try to bring to all is one of Hope, Healing, New life, Abundant life, Joy, Comfort and Truth, The Way, The Life, The Light and an overcoming life . In my life I hope to be a light in the darkness for others. I want to point others to the One who changed me, Jesus Christ. I want to impact people with the fruits of the Holy Spirit given to me and to share all that I have been given to move hearts closer to God through my melodies and lyrics. My desire is to move people's hearts to laughter, joy and tears. I want my music to be a bridge to those who have never experienced His love.
