简介

GEORGE HAMILTON IV George Hamilton IV is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and has recorded country, rock, folk, Christian and Gospel songs. He has many hit records to his credit, including the million sellers: “Abilene” and “A Rose and A Baby Ruth.” In addition to his enduring popularity in the United States, his unique talent, Christian values, friendly and gentle personality have made him a highly popular stage performer and recording artist in many countries, including Canada, England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. He is widely known as “The Ambassador of Country Music (and has been named as such by Billboard Magazine). George has been a frequent guest singer with the Dr. Billy Graham Crusades. He lives his faith. Without fanfare, he visits hospitals and schools to encourage young and old, alike. In late 2006, George was honored in London, England, for his “Considerable work in bringing Country Music to International audiences, including ground-breaking work in Russia and other Eastern countries in the 1970s when he became the first to take Country Music behind the Iron Curtain”. These songs by George is selected from his popular album from RGO Records, “Songs of Faith and Inspiration. “ George said of that album, “This album could easily have been titled, ‘George IV Sings the Roy G. “Jack” Ownbey Songbook, since most of the songs were written or co-written by my friend, Roy G. “Jack” Ownbey. (Jack is also the co-writer of the award-winning book, The Hank Snow Story). Jack and his co-writers pen lyrics with a message – songs that ‘touch the heart strings’ – positive songs of faith and inspiration! Many of these songs have already become personal favorites of mine and will, I’m sure, someday become country-Gospel standards. It was a joy, a privilege, and a blessing to be involved in this project. I’m grateful to Jack for inspiring me and strengthening my faith with his gift of song, as I’m sure you, the listener, will be, too!” George IV *** DARNELL MILLER - Legacy Darnell Miller is considered “A New Traditionalist.” He mixes the great sounds of pure country music and adds a modern flavor. I was born and spent many years in the province of Newfoundland, Canada, and at the age of five, I learned my first song called “The Knoxville Girl.” I started playing music and singing professionally when I joined my first band at the age of 17. Although my musical influences varied from rock to blues to country, as well as Newfoundland folk music, country was always a huge part of a night’s work with the band. My early influences were country artist Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Hank Snow, Merle Haggard and Hank Williams Sr. More recent influences have been George Strait, Randy Travis and Alan Jackson, and I enjoy music from the Eagles, Lynard Skynard, Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniel’s Band and The Band. My first album, Honky Tonks and Steel Guitars was released in 1998. All 12 songs were written or co-written by me. Some singles from this album were released to radio in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, by Ross Allen’s Hillcrest Records of Ontario, Canada. The singles were received well by listeners in all countries, and the album was reviewed favourably by several country music publications in Europe and several other countries. My second album, Sparks Among The Coals was released in 2002. This 12 song album contained songs written by Roy G. Ownbey from San Diego, California and others written by me. The single, “Crazy As A Man Could Be,” written by Roy was released to radio by Hillcrest Records and quickly climbed to number one on the (ECMA) European Country Music Association charts, and stayed several weeks in the top ten. It was honored as one of the most played songs in Europe. Several other songs from the album were released by Hillcrest Records and all were received well by listeners in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. I’ve teamed up with Roy Ownbey again, along with some other great writers for two new albums: A Country Afternoon and More Precious Than Life. My most recent album is The Best of Ronnie Masters. My single song, Didn’t I, was just released. All of my songs reflect my continuing interest in telling stories about the pain and joy of life experiences by folks - wherever they live. If you check out any of these songs, I think some of these might touch your heart. Ronnie Masters *** RAY SANDERS In 1981, Ray Sanders who had already had Billboard Hit Recordings for United Artists and was voted Best New Country Music Singer by the Academy of Country Music moved from Los Angeles to San Diego to work with Rick Carlson, singer, lead guitar and keyboard player. Rick and Ray formed a five piece band and played at the top night clubs. They recorded and wrote songs and for over five years became the most popular country band in the San Diego area. During those years, Ray and Rick co-wrote and worked with many songwriters and recorded demoes for them in Rick's recording studio. A new and talented songwriter, Roy Ownbey (later Roy wrote the Award Winning, The Hank Snow Story), hooked up with Rick and Ray and that friendship would last to this day. Many early evenings Roy and Ray would be hard at work writing songs in Roy's music room and sharing a hot pizza. Roy gives sincere credit for his development as a songwriter to Ray. With all their music activity and all the good food, it's a miracle that they stayed so thin! I guess Roy's tennis playing and Ray's weight lifting paid off. These songs are selected from his album, I’ll be Loving You Tonight. Give a listen to his songs on his album. Enjoy a part of history in this country music. In the view of Rick, Ray and Roy, those five years represent A TIME THAT WILL NEVER BE AGAIN. Writer: The Fly On The Wall RGO Records
