She has also had the honor of opening for the late powerhouse Vesta Williams in Philadelphia, PA. Influences of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Natalie Cole, Angela Bofill, Minnie Ripperton and Phyllis Hyman are unmistakable when experiencing Wendy in concert. She is probably best known for her tribute medley to Phyllis Hyman. Always in demand, she can be found performing it in jazz clubs throughout the DC area.
