Crooning his way through catchy melodies and introspective lyrics, singer-songwriter J.Russo uncovers the pleasures and perils of love, life, and ourselves in this self-titled album. Infusing his jazz background on trumpet with his alternative/rock/folk background on guitar, he also adds drum loops to the mix to create a unique blend of songs bordering on alternative, lounge, jazz, and latin. The result is a sound of his influences: John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Beck, Paolo Conte, and Sinatra, to name a few. The album was written and recorded over the past year and a half in his own recording studio, Studio LoDo, in Denver CO.
