简介
Roger Campbell and John Hare came together as a band in February of 1972 while both were attending college in Northern Virginia, Roger at the Northern Virginia Community College and John was attending George Mason University. A mutual friend, Jerry White, also a guitar player, brought the three together for their first jam session on Presidents Day, 1972 and the rest is history. After both John and Roger completed their degree programs at George Mason University, both needed full time jobs and both found opportunities in the Federal Government. They continued to play together for several years in the Washington, D.C. area, including performances in local establishments and weddings, until careers and more education forced the duo to put their music on hold. John completed his PhD in English and became a college professor and Roger continued to work for Uncle Sam and built a very successful career in government service. The duo reunited in 2004 and the bond that was once so strong in the early 70's was once again alive and kicking in 2004. It was an easy decision for Roger and John to make plans to go into the studio to create Opening Doors. New music and old populate the the album and it is really interesting to compare the songs they wrote in the 70's to the songs they are writing today. Opening Doors is the first attempt to share their music to more than just friends and followers in Northern Virginia. A second album is planned for the summer of 2007 and hopefully more appearances locally in the greater Washington, D.C. area in 2007 as well. The art work on the album was provided by Candi Campbell, Roger's wife of 30 plus years. And Roger's oldest son Christopher is also featured on the album. We hope you enjoy Opening Doors as much as we did putting it together.
