简介

Kris Holiday is a stage name. We have been sworn to secrecy about the artist’s real name – suffice to say Kris doesn’t get out much anymore, but when he does! Whew! What a night! Once a year Kris stays out all night not returning ‘til the early morning. Some say he smells a bit like reindeer by the time he returns home… Who are we to judge when a man keeps it in control for 364 day each year? There is one very curious and interesting fact – Kris’s singing voice sounds very much like musician Tony Merando, the lead singer for The Crossroads Band. In fact, if you closed you eyes and didn’t know any better you would swear they were one in the same. The Hotnicks Band is usually garbed in matching green outfits with dark green slippers rolled at the toe with little golden bells on their very tips. They spend their days working in a toyshop building magical toys for children who have been “nice.” Almost every evening they slip away to the music studio where they blow off steam by playing the blues. Although they have never met anyone from the Poughkeepsie area of the Mid-Hudson Valley of upstate New York, all of the Hotnicks have very similar playing styles to Claude LeHenaff (drums) and Ben Ribble (guitar) of the Crossroads Band, Jim Hanson former bassist of Harvest (piano) and John McCormack of Harvest (bass) and Steve Wanzer of Harvest (keyboards), and of course Steve Siktberg of The Easy Street Band (classical acoustic guitar) and Pierre LeHenaff and Jeff MacAulay (bass). Jim Hanson executive produced the songs Claude LeHenaff produced the songs John McCormack is the studio engineer for all the songs Song List: q Sunny Southern Christmas 4:10 q Red Hot Christmas 3:02 q Merry Christmas Darlin’ 3:05 q Christmastime 3:23 * © 2006, BMI © 1977, BMI * The "Hotnicks" on the "Sunny Southern Christmas" track, although elves by day - at night they sounds exactly like; Ben Ribble playing both slide and lead guitar, John McCormack playing bass, Tony Merando playing rhythm guitar and singing all the vocals, Claude LeHenaff playing drums and sleigh bells, & Steve Wanzer playing keyboards.
