简介
David Kent is an English artist who writes intelligent Pop R&B. He is an exciting live performer who has been likened to Andy Bell of Erasure, George Michael and electro band De/vision. His new EP “There’s a Devil” is now released on TobyTheDog Records and he is shortly to announce a tour schedule. The video to the title track is also now available for download. All five “There’s a Devil” tracks have been produced and mixed by Griff at The Hutch Studios, London. Griff has been responsible for several Europe-wide dance hits. This project marks the beginning of an on-going collaboration and the new album is currently in development. Griff admits to being heavily influenced by West Coast R&B stars such as Timbaland and Bloodshy and Avant. The atmospheric video to the EP’s title track is directed by Darren Teale of Junction15 productions. He has also directed music videos for Model Radio, DJ Jedeye and Lesbian Bed Death. His Depeche Mode (Anton Corbijn) inspired work on “There’s a Devil” combines the latest computer graphics with imaginative camera work; producing an eerie, stylish film. Darren also admits to being influenced by Bjork’s video collaborator Chris Cunningham. “Thanx, David, for helping make a great night… you were a star!” Pam Robbins, The Original Songwriters, London
