So as a kind of salute to some of the world's most enduring songs, we've recorded these selections on solo acoustic guitar, harmonica and piano to produce a beautiful and very mellow collection suitable for background or just relaxing after a rough day. The songs include Danny Boy and Amazing grace, both featured twice, once guitar and once on harmonica. Amazing Grace featues a conventional guitar version as well as a rare blues guitar studio version, performed with a live-audience style emotion. Other songs include our mellow piano solo of Aura Lee & the all-time popular Italian standard & O Solo Mio also played on piano. The objective was to keep the music simple, short and sweet. Kemp's Jig, a rare Irish classic has been recorded internationally by promient guitar players such as Liona Boyd and Chet Atkins. This particular version was recorded on a taylor acoustic guitar, microphoned directly with no overdubs or electronics sounds of any kind. The overall sound is easy on the ears and calming to the sprit, just as intended. Our ten-song selections revives these beautiful classics to a new level of quality.
