Manuel Cortez is a four-piece band from southern California.

Though it carries his name front man Manuel Cortez says, “this is a group effort”

And it shows in the music.

Coming from diverse musical backgrounds each band member, playing a variety of instruments has an equally strong presence. All of them carrying the songs in their own way make for a very interesting and exciting debut album; that explores a taste in several genres of music like rock, a hint of jazz, reggae, and Latin. 90% of the album was recorded live in the studio. Tracks were used only to allow the musicians to switch instruments, going to show that these guys are the real thing. Enjoy their album Freedom and make sure to catch them at a live show!
