I love music. All types of music. I really feel this CD "End of the Day" captured a pretty good mix of my influences. I had two visions going into this project. The first, being a mandolin player, I wanted this to sound like something you could sit on a front porch playing with your friends. I wanted an organic vibe and I didn't want it to be just mandolin "shredding" all over every song. Being a fan of songwriters from The Beatles to Jason Isbell, I wanted the songs to be supported by the mandolin and not trampled over by it. I am also a huge fan of harmony vocals! I called in my buddies to work out parts in the studio and from the "oohs and aahs" to big Eagles like choruses, we spent quite a few hours arranging and singing these parts!

The second thing I wanted to accomplish was to let people know, sometimes in life, you've got to make tough decisions. They may not be popular and you may feel like you're not ready to make them by as I say in my song Time (Break Your Heart) "The time is never right". I've had to make some big changes in my life the past few years and I probably will have to make more as I get older, but nobody is going to hand you anything in this life. You've got to go out there and get it......so quit staring at your phone and get out there and make something happen!
