This christmas song „Gather Together – it’s christmas Tim“ was composed by Austrian composer/arranger Augustin Lehfuss and first sung by British singer Anne Elisabeth Semper, who had also written the lyrics. The original version of the song, released in 2008 was frequently played by several radio stations in Europe, and lively performed in many christmas shows.

Over the years the original version, which can also be downloaded on CD Baby, seemed to be something old fashioned with it’s classical string arrangements, so it appeard appropriate to create a new, more fashinable version of this song.

Now living in Berlin, the composer came across German guitarist and producer Moritz Peter Gläser, and together they produced this new version. The aim was to express the warm and tender feeling of christmas without overstraining all the usual and sometimes annoying christmas sujets such as sleigh bells and „ho-ho“ yelling santa clauses. Though keeping some of the original string arrangements, they also used modern tools such as sound samples and loops to achieve a modern touch without loosing the song‘ s original intention.

The beautiful voice of Swiss singer and musical actress Laura Luppino appeared perfectly suitable to this new arrangement and she agreed with pleasure to appear as featured artist on this remix, which hopefully will be played many times on many radio stations all over the globe.
