This 4-track EP was originally released in 1981 and is nowadays one of the most sought after and hard to find records of the minimal synth and post punk collectors scene. Analog synths, KR55-drum machine and driving wave/punk guitars are typical for the sound that defined the so-called “cold wave” genre. This and also the characteristic vocals (mixing French, English and German lyrics) made especially "Demain Berlin" into a hit at undergound clubs. With this record Guerre Froide were one of the pioneers of the French cold wave scene, which also included bands like Clair Obscur, Norma Loy or Trisomie 21. In the past couple of years Guerre Froide have released great new albums in that same vibe and they still play live shows.
