BIOGRAPHY Born to be multi talented, from the hills of White Hall St Thomas Jamaica, Garth Brown was born on the 17th of August 1962, stage name Onyx Brown, he was grown up from a Religious back ground, where he spend most of his young years in the Church, playing various instruments such as Bass Guitar, Piano, Drums, Rhythm Guitar, and Singing as a soloist, writing and arranging music, then from east to the western side of Jamaica he spend a number of years in the Tourism Industry as an Entertainer, performing at various Hotels and Stage show , stemming from all those years of experience, Name Brand Recording Studio was born, from that embryo tic stage he has divulge so deep into music, he was refer as the mad scientist! Creating new rhythm and songs and also laying a platform to be one of Jamaica versatile musician, and a Recording Studio engineer and production manager. He has been the recipients of gold, Silver, and a Bronze award, at the Jamaica Pop variety competition, he has perform at various venues internationally, and in Jamaica, such as Reggae on the river California USA , Guantanamo mo Bay Cuba, China TV show for 50 million viewers, the Mattel Center in USA, Reggae Sun fest Jamaica ,Drums for Peace Jamaica And others, Spending most of his time , grooming young upcoming artist, and working with senior entertainers, such as Taurus Riley, Charlie Chaplin, Leroy Smart, Super Blacks, Jah Mason ,Eddie Fitzroy and others, but not bearing in mind that he has the capacity to be who he was design to be. In his quest is to build a positive Vibes, and to create a musical ambiance, that will be comp active with energy and so it will be a beacon in the music fraternity, in the international and local market, streaming songs from his musical vault, in all cat goral aspect, from Reggae lover’s rock, cultural, R&B, country, and Gospel, his latest singles, are, Jamaica Paradise and Let There Be Peace, that will be on the market soon, his lyrical content and soothing music will be an inspiration to all.
