Mike is an independent, singer/songwriter/guitar player. Born and raised in Albany, GA, he began playing guitar around age 10. As a teen, Mike was in a youth gospel group traveling throughout the southeast US. He continued to sing and play guitar while serving in the US Air Force. In 1992, Mike’s song “Catfish Eatin Woman Blues” was recorded by the Athens, GA based band, Kinchafoonee Cowboys. While enjoying a career in real estate advertising, he continued to play guitar and write songs. In 2002, Mike began performing again and has been on a progressive schedule ever since. In 2010, Mike produced an independent CD titled “Americana Backyard” under the name Blossom Creek Breeze. Also in 2010, he won his first songwriting award “The Top Dog Award” at the 35TH Annual Wildcat Creek Fiddler’s Convention with “Catfish Eatin Woman Blues”. Mike lives in Flowery Branch, GA and is gaining local celebrity status in the Lake Lanier, Flowery Branch, and Athens, GA communities. His songs are earthy and visual, while his shows are fun and entertaining. You will leave feeling glad you were there. “Your songs are awesome. I love your songs” quotes a fan/venue owner.
