Thanks for listening and thanks for reading the fine print! These songs were written between November 2010 & January 2013. They were recorded on & off between September 2012 & August 2013. “Grass Is Alligators” really is a game that we’d play as kids, usually around the swing set. The grass was real patchy in our backyard around that swing set. This really helped us avoid those pesky gators. “Move Away” was written the night of the infamous Chicago “Snowpocalypse” of 2011. “Outsourced (My Love)” was spawned from a conversation with Bree and Andrew at a party at Justin and Erin’s place. It was also certainly inspired by Tim Ferriss’s 4HWW and his using of virtual assistants for absolutely anything and everything. “Koga” was inspired by an article that Mary forwarded to me about a gorilla that escaped from the Buffalo Zoo. You can read the article by going to http://roblambert.com/gorilla I really don’t personally know Eeyore and Charlie Brown. They are cartoon characters. “My Brother” was written shortly after the passing of our canine buddy Pablo based on the reactions observed in Hampton our Siberian Husky. He really was swatting flies off of Pablo’s eyes and he really did have it coming out of both ends. “Ocean” was inspired by an article on the NPR Monkey See blog called “The Sad, Beautiful Fact That We’re All Going To Miss Almost Everything”. You can read the article by going to http://roblambert.com/miss-everything “Gone” was inspired by an article that Mary forwarded to me about some out-of-work Solmali pirates. You can read the article by going to http://roblambert.com/pirates The events mentioned in “A Saturday” happened exactly as described. Believe it or not, we were celebrating Mary’s birthday that night. And it was pretty good. Thanks again for listening. See you around. -Rob
