简介

Praise, Honour and Glory is a Christian music ministry based in Knoxville, Tennessee whose outreach is to churches, schools, charities, and the community at large. Our goal is to glorify God in our praise and outreach. It is the mission of Praise, Honour and Glory to be a witness in the world - both individually and collectively - to the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ; and through song to share with others that they, too, might come to know the all-encompassing power of the love of Christ in their own lives. Praise, Honour and Glory began as Celebration Mass Choir on May 15, 1993. The first concert was performed in Calhoun, Georgia on August 22, 1993. The group's debut concert featured the Richard Smallwood Singers at the Colston Center for the Performing Arts at Knoxville College in Knoxville, Tennessee. The choir performed the encore selection T'will Be Sweet with the Richard Smallwood Singers. Since then, the group has performed with several other major artists and productions. On November 19, 1993, the Celebration Mass Choir officially adopted the name Praise, Honour and Glory, with reference to 1 Peter 1:7. Besides cities in Tennessee, the group has traveled to Virginia, Ohio and South Carolina performing concerts. In July 2000, Praise, Honour and Glory released its first recording, a super single with the project name "Our Praise." In June 2002, Praise, Honour and Glory shared its music ministry on the island of Sicily in Italy. Praise, Honour and Glory is a Christian ministry with an outreach to all who would hear the Word of God through their music ministry. The group has supported Knoxville and surrounding communities by involvement in projects such as Habitat for Humanity, The Soup Kitchen, Christmas Angel Trees, Crutcher Memorial Youth Enrichment Center, International 4H, Children's Defense Fund, and the Knoxville Museum of Art, to name a few. Presently, the choir's membership includes persons from fifteen churches in five cities and at least five denominations.
