You always know when you hear a GREAT song. It hits you almost immediately, on the first listen. I think many songwriters would tell you that the best songs seem to just write themselves. Such was the case with my brand new single: "Only Because Of You". As soon as this song was finished, my co-writer Dave McCormick and I knew we had a great song. Ordinarily this would be just one of many songs being compiled for a future, full album release. So under normal circumstances, it would be at least two more years before anyone would be able to purchase this new song. However, when we finished this recording, we knew we had a HIT song and we wanted to share it with the world.....and we wanted to do it NOW! It seems like more and more people are getting their music digitally these days. 10-12 song albums can take SO long to finish and I want to share new music with you far more often than just every few years...and while I'm still young! So from time to time, I will release new songs on CD Baby as mp3 downloads and also for purchase on digital music stores such as iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster and many others. I'll be pitching this song to major artists in Nashville in the hopes that someone will want to record it.
