As we roll onto our 12th release we’re got another belter lined up in the shape of Stuff Ya Disco’s debut original release, the rather large ‘Spook’ / ‘Sneaky’. Another original 2 tracker. Stuff Ya Disco is a new name to some. He’s a promising new producer based in Bournemouth, Uk (where Upstart originated from). We’ve been keeping an eye on him for a while & got him to remix Crakerz & Jam’s ‘Ghetto Girls’ for us a couple of releases ago. He did an amazing mix & when he sent us these gems we were more than happy to put them out! ‘Spook’ is rolling & pumping electro/tech-funk number that has got a massive breakdown sent straight from hell/heaven! It’s got super tight beats & a lovely distorted bassline. When it breaks down it’s got a great vocal sample, that’s just a thought provoking as it is cheeky, all set over strung out dupstep-esq beats. ‘Sneaky’ is more of the same. Solid tech inspired 4/4 vibes. Another rolling beast of a track. ON the remix of this is Upstart main man Mr D-Funk. His mix switches things up to a slamming break beat. He’s kept the techy/electro vibe of the original just chopped & tweaked in the right places, as well as adding extra bass. This should keep all the breaks head happy & a great way to round off the release…
