‘California’ is the incredible debut album by London based duo Freewinder – Russell Chandler (instrumentation, arrangements) and Clive Godwin (lyrics, arrangements) who discovered a shared love of music whilst working together in London. The pair soon realised their fusion of creative, musical and production talents could be the start of something special. On ‘California’ they feature the pure and effortless vocals of US based Kara Grainger, yielding a unique sound which is underpinned by Clive’s heartfelt and intelligent lyrics and brought to life with Russell’s deft instrumentation.

What started out as a couple of mates playing guitar has evolved into a remarkable innovative project. Influenced by the likes of Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, Zero Seven and Coldplay, there is definitely more to Freewinder than just boy meets girl. The result is an eclectic mix of intimate stories and stadium anthems, an alluring theme that is certain to entice any listener.
