The classic holiday tune “Jingle Bells” has been “redefined” in this breathtaking rendition for clarinet solo. Arranged by Mihael Paar in a particularly attractive style, it features a large scale of performing techniques, each of which leaves its distinctive mark on the tune. The final result is a blend of classical, jazz and the moving sound of holiday spirit that surrounds the listener. Paar has thus created a genre that could be called “Smooth Christmas Crossover”, while the piece itself bears the title “Little Christmas Fantasy”. However, except for its length, there isn’t much “little” about it. Paar’s acrobatic use of the instrument characterized by extended techniques, takes the listener on a magnificent and enchanting “little” fantasy.
