简介
Hey I'm EJK, I am an 18 year old musician, singer songwriter & recording artist, so I play piano, guitar & I sing. I’m of British birth but raised on the Greek Island of Lesvos for 17 years. This is my 3rd project “1 in 7” so far brought forth a lot of work and a lot of love. My other 2 albums are called “15 years” and “Sweet 16” All of the songs are written by me, the lyrics come mostly from my life, experiences & observations. The music is mostly acoustic & rock but generally there is a huge variety. My first album I decided to record at Lands End studio with Robbie Ballhause in Hannover Germany. My second “Sweet 16” was actually done in my home town of Mytilene in a little studio called Nataraza with Stratis Antiparmakis. The third was in Leicester at a tardis like studio called the “Paddocks” with an amazing guy Called Ross Hillard. On all I worked together with some great musicians who worked under great pressure and showed amazing skill and patience!. The team has change slowly through the last 3 years: From the begging on “15 years” where: Kai Alex Stöber - Electric guitar, Bass guitar, Voice and a great friend but swears. (Metal) Demos Horn - Percussion, Drums, an amazing musician who has a huge future also. (Jazz) Also on the first album : Robbie Ballhause – Guitar and click master (Folk) And then for the second album “ Sweet 16” we had 2 more great musicians joined us: Ben Sullivan – Electric guitarist, amazing soloist, always wearing sun glasses. (Blues) Marina Gounari – Vocalist, the always enthusiastic one, she will do great things. (Pop) Stratis Antiparmakis – Drummer, keyboard player, experimenter (All music) Now “1 in 7” : These musicians don't really have a genre that defines them, hence why we work so well together. Reiss Hemming – Drummer, percussion, can pick up brand new things in a heart beat. Ross Hillard – Bass & Double Bass extravaganza also studio owner and mixer Jake Hodgson – Solo Guitarist, has 2 bands yet still found time to be apart of this. Aaron Carter – Pianist, left us all constantly in fits of laughter or sighs :P fantastic (As you can see we are a weird bunch with different tastes but some how it works.) Here are some links to some of my most recent interviews http://www.spreaker.com/user/dlgradiofm102/special-guest-recording-artist-ejk http://baconandmusic.com/?p=1660 I began really writing songs at age of eleven which is the first song on my first CD called Future, at fourteen my first famous song “pink is not a colour its an attitude” finished in the number one position after I entered it into the Beat 100 charts in March 2013. To date this song has had over 100,000 views on the internethttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z94V18B1xuE The publicity that came with my big win meant that I was in the national spotlight. My story was featured in many newspapers both national and local. I gave many live radio interviews and two TV interviews to national TV stations, one of which was live where i also performed my winning song. I was also given special awards by the Mayor of the island and by the head of the North Aegean education authority as I had used the publicity to highlight some of the issues facing students in Greece. Some of my newspaper articles and TV interviews can be seen here:http://www.pinterest.com/ellenisworkshop/ejk-videos-press-reports/ Since my win i have performed on stage many times both solo and with my rock group “The Reapers”. “The Reapers” have also played as support group for visiting famous groups here on the island. I am also one of the founding members of "The Siberian Hamsters" I mostly taught myself guitar starting at age 5, using the internet and soaking up small lessons from visiting musicians. I now attend a music school here on the island which has given me new opportunities to learn new skills on piano and guitar and also to work with other musicians on collaborative projects. I speak three languages fluently, Greek, English and German, and working on a fourth.http://cdbaby.com/link
