简介
After two highly successful, independent, young-country releases, in 2007, (“It’s About Time”), and 2008, (“For You”), eighteen-year old Holly Tucker offers her deepest, most personal work, to date, in “Love Is What She Likes”, for M & D Records. Produced by well-known Nashville session musician, turned studio owner/engineer, Steve Palousek, for Awesome Works Recording, in the heart of Texas, and over a year in the making, the CD is a “must have” for every serious country music collection. Every song is a gem, and fans will not want to miss a single cut, on this family-friendly disc. Holly’s voice has matured well beyond her years, due to an ambitious schedule of singing, and recording, over the past seven years, in venues throughout Texas, before audiences large and small. Four songs, the opening track, “Baby, Say Yes”, track 3, “Twice As Strong”, track 7, “Unbreakable”, and track 8, “Could’ve Had Me”, flowed from Holly’s pen, with inspiration from a number of gifted songwriters, who have encouraged her to explore the deapths of her soul, and to write from her heart, allowing her fans to see the genuine, wholesome person inside, and the true artist emerging. Track 2, “One”, track 5, “Love Is What She Likes” (the title cut), track 9, “Don’t Talk To Me”, and track 11, “The Closest I’ve Ever Been”, are all creations of Chris K. Wommack, longtime Tucker-family friend, and Holly’s music buddy/unofficial mentor. Once again, Chris has captured the range of emotion known by many a teenage girl, in these four new ballads, which will rival any current top-40 hits, on mainstream country radio. The girls will completely relate, and any smart young man who seeks to truly understand his lady, should be encouraged to take these words to heart, as well! During the process of selecting the music for this record, Holly was asked to record a songwriter’s demo, at Awesome Works Recording, for Steve Maynard. She fell in love with three of his songs, and they are found at tracks 4, 6, and 10. “The Staying Kind”, #4, is a haunting melody, with a positive message, for this troubled world of broken human relationships. #6, “That’s Why I Love You”, will touch the heartstrings of any couple who has remained together through the best and worst of times. Finally, “Something About You” celebrates the very best of a partner’s character, loyalty, and trustworthiness. Steve also lends his wonderful talent, as keyboardist, on this entire project. To close the CD, Holly has chosen a Hillary Lindsey/Angelo Thomas Petraglia collaboration, “God Don’t Make Mistakes”, in an effort to offer a word hope to those who have given up. God is the answer. He is in control. He can be trusted with our lives, if we just accept the hope he offers! Holly is so thankful to all those who have made the recording of this CD possible.
